In May 2016 we had our Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection which involves an inspector visiting our office, looking at our records, talking to staff and management, reviewing information and most importantly talking to the clients themselves.

Every outcome investigated by the inspector was found to be compliant with the fundamental standards of quality and safety.

The clients told the inspector that they were happy with the care and support being provided.
Among  the comments they received were the following:

“It’s like a breath of Spring, they’re jolly kind and friendly.”

“All the carers are so kind to me and helpful.”

“Carers are so considerate and polite. I would certainly recommend them.”

“Despite my disabilities I am fiercely independent and staff really respect this. I have total control about how I want my care to be provided.”

At Harrogate Care at Home, we provide a high quality of service, as acknowledged by the Care Quality Commission, our clients and their relatives, medical and social care professionals and by the local authority. Some clients have been with us for many, many years. We pride ourselves on paying close attention to each client’s personal choices so that all services are person-centred. We listen to the outcomes our clients wish to achieve and do all we can to encourage independence living and to support clients to get out and take part in local community life.

We always stress that the provision of quality home care is very much a team effort—the management, the trainers and office staff as well as front line carers.
Thank you to everyone who took part in the inspection. The full report is available on request or from the CQC website –
